Being Italian, food is important to me on all fronts. Food is love. Food is nourishment. Food is connection. But what I didn’t learn while growing up in the kitchen with my grandmother and my mother, was how to cook for health. This book, “Gourmet Cooking with Health in Mind” is exactly what I was looking for when it comes to healthy eating. Over 500 pages of some of the most delicious meals, side dishes, and beverages that I have ever encountered.
The back pages of the book are especially helpful — various food measurements, resources, conversion charts, and a glossary that finally makes sense of it all.
